Heavy Vehicle EDRs - Event Data Recorders

International engines made before 2010 do not have an EDR component. EPA 2010 MaxxForce engines do contain an EDR component which stores two last stop records and two hard brake events. Current research indicates that these trucks must have either been built after September 2011, or have been reflashed after September 2011. Trucks with an EDR will have the letters "AK" in thier software code.
